Nurse Assistant – Job DescriptionPosition Summary

The Nurse Assistant provides essential support to nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. The role involves assisting patients with daily activities, maintaining patient comfort and hygiene, monitoring basic health conditions, and supporting the smooth operation of the healthcare unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Help patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and walking as required.
• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate.
• Observe patients for changes in their physical or emotional condition and report concerns promptly to the nurse.
• Assist with feeding and hydration while following prescribed dietary requirements.
• Make and change beds and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
• Assist nurses with routine patient care and other delegated clinical tasks within the scope of training.
• Support patients before, during, and after procedures as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient care documentation.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment.
• Handle patient belongings and equipment responsibly.
• Provide emotional support and communicate respectfully with patients and their families.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare policies, safety standards, and professional regulations.
• Report incidents, accidents, or changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse immediately.
• Perform other duties assigned by the nurse or healthcare supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or relevant healthcare training program.
• Valid certification or professional registration where required by local regulations.
• Previous healthcare or patient-care experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and healthcare practices.

Pay: AED2,200.00 - AED5,800.00 per month
