About the role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our high acuity nursing team at DDC Coolmakers & Powerbuilders Corporation in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment where you will provide critical care to patients requiring intensive medical attention. As a Nurse in our high acuity setting, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care whilst working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

1. Provide direct patient care to individuals in high acuity settings, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient condition on a continuous basis
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols
3. Perform clinical procedures and interventions appropriate to high acuity nursing practice
4. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and institutional standards
5. Communicate effectively with patients, families and members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated care delivery
6. Respond promptly to patient needs and concerns, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions
7. Assist in the development and implementation of individualised patient care plans
8. Monitor and manage patient safety protocols, including infection control and prevention measures
9. Support medical staff during emergency situations and resuscitation efforts when required
10. Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development

What we're looking for

1. Valid nursing licence and registration with the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) or equivalent regulatory body
2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in high acuity nursing or intensive care settings
3. Strong clinical knowledge and competency in patient assessment, monitoring and care delivery
4. Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology commonly found in high acuity environments
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
6. Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritise care delivery in a demanding environment
7. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in documentation and record-keeping
8. Commitment to patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols
9. Resilience, empathy and the ability to cope with the emotional demands of high acuity nursing
10. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or willingness to obtain them
11. Preferred experience in critical care, intensive care unit (ICU), emergency department or similar high acuity settings
