What they need
- Provide first aid and basic nursing care to students, faculty, staff, and visitors on campus.
- Assess patients' health conditions, monitor vital signs, and provide immediate medical assistance when required.
- Handle medical emergencies and coordinate with nearby hospitals and ambulance services for referrals and patient transportation.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per the instructions of the consulting doctor.
- Maintain accurate medical records, patient registers, treatment details, and incident reports.
- Assist doctors during patient examinations, minor medical procedures, and health assessments.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock of medicines, first-aid supplies, and medical equipment.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and timely replenishment of medicines and medical consumables.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and infection-control practices in the university health centre.
- Support health awareness programmes, medical camps, vaccination drives, and periodic health check-ups conducted on campus.
- Provide initial care for minor injuries, fever, dehydration, and other common health complaints.
- Follow institutional medical protocols, patient confidentiality requirements, and applicable healthcare guidelines.
- Coordinate with the university administration, hostel wardens, security, and other departments during medical emergencies.
- Ensure the medical centre is adequately prepared to handle routine health concerns and emergency situations.
