As an ICU Staff Nurse at Manipal Hospitals, you will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. You will be responsible for monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your role will involve assessing patient needs, implementing nursing interventions, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor vital signs and patient responses continuously.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient progress in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform nursing procedures and interventions in compliance with established protocols.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to infection control standards.

Skills and Tools Required:

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in the use of medical equipment, such as ventilators, IV pumps, and cardiac monitors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of emergency response protocols and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) standards.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management.
• Compassionate demeanor and commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or relevant nursing degree.
• Valid nursing license and certification in critical care nursing preferred.
• Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting is highly desirable.
