  • Identify, escalate, and resolve barriers impacting patient progression and length of stay.
  • Drive initiatives that support reductions in Emergency Department boarding and inpatient length of stay.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing alignment based on patient volume, acuity, and operational needs.
  • Manage staffing resources effectively to reduce premium labor and incentive utilization while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, patient safety, and colleague engagement.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators including throughput metrics, patient experience, quality outcomes, productivity, and financial performance.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain nursing talent while supporting professional growth and succession planning.
  • Lead performance management, coaching, mentoring, and recognition activities for nursing colleagues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Three (3) years of progressive clinical nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an acute care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of patient flow, staffing management, quality improvement, and regulatory standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous leadership experience in Observation, Emergency, Medical-Surgical, Throughput, or Capacity Management environments.
  • National nursing certification in a related specialty.
