Clinical Management Consultants

In 2026, bring your oncology expertise to a
Nurse Manager Oncology
career where meaningful patient impact, visible leadership, technology-enabled workflows, professional growth, and the quality of life found in upstate New York come together at a
Magnet-designated hospital
.
This Nurse Manager Oncology opportunity is based within an award-winning, 400-bed acute care hospital recognized for nursing excellence, quality, and a positive patient experience. Experienced healthcare leaders will find an organization that values safe practice, interdisciplinary partnership, professional autonomy, and thoughtful use of modern clinical technology to support—not replace—sound nursing judgment. For professionals exploring hospital careers, healthcare leadership jobs, or nursing management opportunities, this medical center offers the scale and stability to lead meaningful improvement while remaining connected to patients, staff, and the surrounding community.
As Nurse Manager Cancer Center, the successful leader will help advance oncology services within a nationally accredited cancer center known for comprehensive, community-based cancer care. The Oncology team supports patients and families through complex diagnoses and evolving treatment plans, creating a clinical environment where compassionate communication, coordinated care, safety, and operational consistency matter every day. Collaboration across nursing, physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacy, laboratory, imaging, social work, case management, and other allied health disciplines makes this Cancer Center especially attractive to a leader seeking broader specialty exposure, greater responsibility, and the opportunity to strengthen the patient journey across the continuum of care.
The Nurse Manager Oncology will provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership while partnering with the appropriate hospital and service-line leaders. Responsibilities are expected to include staff coaching, scheduling and workflow coordination, quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory readiness, performance management, education, resource stewardship, and support for strategic Oncology initiatives. This Nurse Manager Cancer Center will build practical collaboration among nurses, medical professionals, pharmacists, technicians, and support services so frontline concerns are addressed efficiently, care transitions remain coordinated, and clinicians have the guidance and resources needed to deliver high-quality cancer care.
For an experienced nurse leader, the Nurse Manager Oncology role represents a meaningful progression into specialty leadership rather than simply another nursing job. The position offers room to mentor emerging leaders, support onboarding and competency development, encourage specialty certification, participate in committees and performance-improvement work, and expand expertise in cancer program operations. Through leadership development, continuing education, interdisciplinary learning, and exposure to organization-wide initiatives, the Nurse Manager Cancer Center can build a strong foundation for future advancement in nursing administration, service-line leadership, or broader healthcare management jobs.
Beyond the hospital, the Nurse Manager Oncology will enjoy the distinctive lifestyle of upstate New York, with the Adirondack Mountains, Lake George, Saratoga Springs, and Capital Region destinations within reach. Hiking, skiing, cycling, boating, fall foliage, local dining, community festivals, and the signature Adirondack Balloon Festival create memorable options outside work, while varied housing choices and manageable regional commutes can support a more balanced daily routine. For healthcare professionals comparing medical center jobs and hospital careers, this Nurse Manager Cancer Center position combines purposeful leadership with authentic access to nature, four-season recreation, and close-knit communities.
The Nurse Manager Oncology will receive competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package aligned with the responsibilities of an experienced clinical leader, with full total-rewards details available during the recruitment process. If leading a nationally accredited Cancer Center at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital sounds like the right next chapter, connect with a Clinical Management Consultants recruiter to explore how this Nurse Manager Cancer Center opportunity could elevate both your leadership career and your life in upstate New York.
