What they need

Springfield Nephrology Associates is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our physician-led, independent nephrology practice. This position offers the opportunity to provide meaningful patient care while working closely with experienced nephrologists in a collaborative practice environment.

We are an established independent practice that values quality patient care, professional relationships, and practical decision-making. Because we are not part of a large hospital system, we are able to remain flexible and responsive to the needs of our providers and patients.

What You Can Expect

  • Predictable, manageable schedule with an emphasis on work-life balance
  • Personalized mentoring and collaboration with experienced nephrologists
  • Opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and skills in nephrology
  • A professional environment where providers have a voice in how the practice operates
  • Less bureaucracy and fewer layers of approval than you may find in a large health system
  • Flexibility to identify opportunities for improvement and help implement practical changes
  • A supportive team that values communication, professionalism, and high-quality patient care
  • The opportunity to build ongoing relationships with patients in a specialty practice

What You Will Do

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient care in an outpatient nephrology setting, including:

  • Assessing and managing patients in accordance with established clinical standards and practice guidelines
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Prescribing medications and managing ongoing therapies within scope of practice
  • Educating patients and families regarding disease management and treatment
  • Collaborating closely with nephrologists and other members of the healthcare team
  • Providing continuity of care for patients with complex and chronic kidney conditions
  • Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Participating in quality improvement and practice initiatives
  • Following applicable Missouri laws, regulations, and professional standards

What We Are Looking For

  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of Missouri
  • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Appropriate prescriptive authority and controlled substance registration, as applicable
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, professional patient care
  • Nephrology experience is preferred, but strong candidates with relevant clinical experience will be considered

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Consistent and predictable schedule
  • Personalized physician mentoring
  • Collaborative, supportive work environment
  • Opportunity to practice with greater autonomy and less administrative bureaucracy
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Benefits package
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing independent specialty practice

Why an Independent Practice?

Working for an independent practice offers a different experience than working within a large health system. We may not have the resources or compensation structure of a major hospital system, but we offer something equally important to many providers: a more personal work environment, direct access to leadership and physicians, flexibility, and the ability to make meaningful changes without navigating unnecessary layers of bureaucracy.

If you are looking for a practice where you can develop professionally, work closely with experienced providers, and have a genuine voice in your workplace, we would like to hear from you.
