Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

Nurse Practitioner position immediately available in a Wellness Practice office in Cary North Carolina. This is a great opportunity to learn new procedures and make extra income. You will start working part-time, with the possibility of adding additional days in the future. The hours you work are flexible. This is an outpatient practice. No nights, no on-call, no weekends, also no holidays. Experience in injections is a plus, but not required. We will provide training on these exciting, new procedures.

Duties

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations.
• Prescribe medications, administer injections, following HIPAA regulations and clinical guidelines.
• Manage acute and chronic condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans utilizing EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; ensure accurate medical documentation.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, sonography, medical imaging, and specimen collection; interpret ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for billing and recordkeeping purposes.
• Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care while maintaining high standards of patient communication and client education.
• Assist in discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and follow-up care for diverse patient populations including nursing home residents and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure with valid certification to prescribe medications under DEA regulations.
• Hands-on experience performing procedures like phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and sterile technique procedures.
• Strong background in acute pain management.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams; experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is advantageou
