Position Overview
The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary medical care to children and adults at our Madison Cross Roads office located at 11588 Pulaski Pike, Toney, AL.

Functions

• Conduct thorough health assessments including physical exams, developmental screenings, and immunizations.

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in children and adults

• Provide anticipatory guidance, health education, and support to children and their caregivers.

• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging; prescribe medications and therapies as needed.

• Collaborate closely with specialists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Assist in the development of pediatric care protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

• Offer support for school and sports physicals, vaccination compliance, and mental health screening.

-Participate in after hours call

Qualifications/Stipulations

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Alabama.

• Board certification as a Registered Nurse Practitioner

• BLS

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in pediatric primary or acute care.

-Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in primary care. Maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
