Nurse Practitioner (APRN) — Clinic and Mobile Outreach

AMSS Clinic | Longwood, FL | 32 hours per week | In person

AMSS Clinic is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to provide care at our Longwood clinic and at mobile and partner clinic locations throughout Central Florida. This position involves regular travel to Apopka, Kissimmee, Poinciana, Orlando, and other assigned locations.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in clinic and community settings.
• Provide primary care, preventive care, chronic disease management, and appropriate follow-up.
• Order and interpret tests, prescribe treatment within your scope of practice, and refer patients for additional care when needed.
• Document visits accurately in the electronic health record.
• Work with clinical staff, volunteers, case management, and community partners to coordinate care.
• Educate patients about their conditions, medications, and care plans.
• Help prepare for and deliver mobile and outreach clinic services.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Florida APRN license and Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to travel reliably between assigned Central Florida locations.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Primary care or community health experience preferred.
• Experience serving uninsured or underserved patients is a plus.

Schedule and location

This is an in-person, 32-hour-per-week position based in Longwood, Florida. Workdays will include time at the Longwood clinic and scheduled visits to mobile and partner clinic locations. The schedule and travel locations will be shared in advance.
