Nurse Practitioner — Full-Time

Mountaineer Family Medicine is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing family medicine practice. We are looking for an experienced provider—or a new graduate with a strong interest in primary care—who values continuity of care, patient relationships, and a team-based approach to medicine.

About the Position

As a Nurse Practitioner at Mountaineer Family Medicine, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients, Suboxone for opiate addiction and GLP-1 for weight management.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and medical conditions.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide patient education.
• Manage chronic conditions and preventive healthcare needs.
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and screenings.
• Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
• Provide preventive care, wellness counseling, and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a professional and respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of WV
• National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a healthcare team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
