Samia W. Borchers Dermatology is a well-established, physician-owned private dermatology practice serving the Dayton, Ohio area for decades. Our practice provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology in a personalized, patient-centered environment.

We are looking for a motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider interested in developing expertise in both medical dermatology and aesthetics, including cosmetic injectables, skincare, and laser/light-based treatments.

Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) are preferred because our practice treats patients across a broad age range.

Dermatology experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to provide structured, hands-on dermatology training and mentorship to the right candidate.

Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with our board-certified dermatologists while gradually developing an independent patient schedule.

We are looking for someone interested in building a long-term career in dermatology rather than someone who simply wants to perform cosmetic procedures.

The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with patients, is comfortable learning office-based procedures, and has an interest in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.

Responsibilities may include:

• Evaluate and manage common dermatologic conditions including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, warts, and other skin disorders
• Perform comprehensive skin examinations
• Evaluate suspicious lesions and assist in skin cancer detection
• Perform shave, punch, and other appropriate skin biopsies
• Perform cryotherapy and other office-based dermatologic procedures
• Provide medication management and follow-up care
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, skincare, and treatment plans
• Assist with surgical dermatology procedures as appropriate
• Conduct cosmetic consultations
• Opportunity to receive training in Botox and other cosmetic injectables
• Opportunity to participate in laser and light-based treatments within applicable training and scope-of-practice requirements
• Provide pre- and post-procedure cosmetic and laser care
• Recommend physician-dispensed skincare products and individualized skincare regimens
• Collaborate closely with our dermatologists, medical assistants, and clinical team
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Cosmetic & Laser Opportunities

Our practice is actively expanding its cosmetic dermatology program, and the Nurse Practitioner will have an opportunity to become an important part of that growth.

We utilize advanced Sciton technology and provide BBL and multiple laser-resurfacing treatments.

The NP will have opportunities for education and hands-on training in appropriate cosmetic and light-based treatments as well as:

• Cosmetic consultations
• Botox and injectable treatments
• Skincare
• Patient selection and treatment planning
• Pre-procedure preparation
• Post-procedure care
• Long-term cosmetic treatment planning

More advanced or physician-only procedures will remain under the care of our dermatologists.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• A licensed or license-eligible Nurse Practitioner in Ohio
• Nationally board certified as a Nurse Practitioner
• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred
• Interested in developing a long-term career in dermatology
• Passionate about patient care
• Interested in cosmetic dermatology and aesthetics
• Comfortable learning and performing office-based procedures
• Detail-oriented and dependable
• Friendly, professional, and able to establish strong patient relationships
• Comfortable working collaboratively with physicians while progressively developing clinical independence
• Interested in joining a physician-owned private practice rather than a large corporate healthcare system

Previous dermatology experience is a plus, but we strongly encourage motivated candidates without dermatology experience to apply.

Prior experience as an RN in dermatology, surgery, plastics, aesthetics, outpatient medicine, or another procedural specialty is also a plus.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
