Anew Mind Behavioral Counseling is expanding our psychiatric services, and we're looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial PMHNP-BC to grow with us!

We are seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled, and business-minded psychiatric provider who is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care and actively developing professional referral relationships.

This opportunity is ideal for a PMHNP who enjoys clinical independence, values flexibility, and wants to expand their patient base without managing the day-to-day administrative responsibilities of operating a private practice.

Position Responsibilities Clinical Services

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult patients.
• Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management and follow-up appointments.
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications within the scope of New Mexico law.
• Assess treatment response, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Coordinate care with therapists, counselors, and other healthcare providers when appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with applicable clinical, ethical, prescribing, and confidentiality standards.

Caseload Development & Practice Growth

• Actively develop and maintain professional referral relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other appropriate referral sources.
• Participate in outreach and networking opportunities to promote access to psychiatric services.
• Proactively contribute to growing and maintaining an active psychiatric patient caseload.
• Collaborate with Anew Mind leadership on appropriate practice-development strategies.
• Maintain professional communication with referral partners to support continuity of care.
• Demonstrate initiative in developing service opportunities rather than relying exclusively on referrals generated by Anew Mind.

Important: This is a collaborative practice-growth opportunity. While Anew Mind provides access to existing referral sources, the selected provider is expected to actively participate in developing additional referral relationships and growing their own caseload.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active, unrestricted New Mexico APRN license.
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) board certification.
• Appropriate New Mexico prescriptive authority.
• Active DEA registration when required for prescribed medications.
• Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Professional liability insurance.
• Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload.
• Willingness to participate in professional networking and referral development.

Preferred:

• Established relationships with local healthcare providers or community referral sources.
• Experience treating adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Experience in outpatient psychiatry or telepsychiatry.
• Familiarity with Medicaid and commercial insurance requirements.
• Interest in practice development and long-term professional growth.

Compensation & Scheduling

Compensation:

• 50/50 revenue-sharing arrangement.
• Provider receives 50% of actual collected revenue for eligible psychiatric services personally rendered.
• Anew Mind retains 50% to support practice infrastructure, billing, scheduling, technology, and administrative operations.
• Compensation is based on collected revenue rather than billed charges.
• No guaranteed caseload or minimum earnings.

• Flexible, part-time independent contractor opportunity.

• In-person and/or telehealth services may be considered.
• Opportunity to expand patient volume as the practice grows.
