Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care | 4-Day Workweek Option

Austin Primary Care is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our experienced team. We offer an average of 15–17 patients per day without overbooking, a four-day workweek option, and no scheduled nights, weekends, or holidays.

As part of People Check LLC, our established community practice is locally owned and led by a nurse practitioner. You’ll have the opportunity to build lasting patient relationships, exercise clinical judgment, and contribute to how we deliver care.

What You Can Expect

• Manageable patient volume: Average of 15–17 patients per day, without overbooking.
• Schedule flexibility: 4-day workweek option within our Monday–Friday office schedule, average of 36 hours weekly
• Minimal call: Very low-volume phone/EHR coverage.
• An established patient panel: A mix of preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits.
• An experienced team: Work alongside fellow NPs and clinical support staff.
• Clinical autonomy and collaboration: Practice with accessible leadership and colleagues who understand outpatient care.

Your Role

You’ll provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including:

• Evaluating and treating acute concerns and chronic conditions.
• Providing preventive care, screenings, and patient education.
• Developing treatment plans and coordinating referrals and follow-up.
• Maintaining timely, accurate documentation in eClinicalWorks.
• Collaborating with providers and staff to support continuity of care.
• Providing occasional occupational health coverage, including physicals and work-related care.

Primary care is the focus of this position.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio APRN-CNP license and national certification as an FNP or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP.
• DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to patient-centered care.
• 2+ years outpatient primary care experience preferred.
