Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop appropriate care plans.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health.
• Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections with precision and sterile technique.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical records, and billing codes such as CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery standards.
• Provide telehealth consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms to extend care access beyond traditional settings.
• Assist in discharge planning, case management, and patient education to promote adherence to treatment plans and healthy lifestyle choices.

Experience

• Proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers preferred), outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex cases involving critical care, ICU or emergency room experience highly valued.
• Hands-on experience with advanced procedures including airway management, ventilator support, dialysis access care, gastrostomy tube feeding, and spinal taps.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth for efficient documentation and data retrieval.
• Background in specialties such as gastroenterology, dermatology (dermal fillers), hospice & palliative medicine, infectious disease care or behavioral health is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medical coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate billing practices; familiarity with Workers' Compensation law is a plus.
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (children & neonates), geriatrics (memory & Alzheimer’s care), individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
• Critical care experience in high-pressure environments such as trauma centers or PICU settings enhances your ability to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Pay: $106,000.00 - $129,000.00 per year
