Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, providing expert patient care across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state and federal regulations, including DEA guidelines for controlled substances.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and sonography to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties including emergency medicine, critical care, geriatrics, behavioral health, and gastroenterology.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals through collaborative practice agreements to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Provide patient education on disease management, medication administration, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal health outcomes.

Skills

• Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative care, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
• Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth; familiarity with medical documentation standards including ICD-10/ICD-9 coding and CPT coding.
• Advanced clinical skills including suturing, sterile processing techniques, venipuncture (phlebotomy), injection administration, and tube feeding management.
• Expertise in handling complex cases involving trauma (Level I & II trauma center experience), ICU or critical care environments; experience in emergency room or urgent care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacology for pain management, psychopharmacology, infectious disease care, occupational health protocols, and drug regulations (DEA).
• Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing or medical imaging; experience with infection control practices is essential.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively while demonstrating physiology knowledge and clinical judgment.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
