Position: Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment
Employment Type: Part-Time
Pay: $40 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our behavioral health and substance abuse treatment team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals struggling with drug addiction, alcohol dependency, and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical and psychiatric assessments.
• Evaluate and treat patients with substance use disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans.
• Prescribe and manage medications within the NP's scope of practice, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriately qualified.
• Monitor patients' progress, withdrawal symptoms, and treatment responses.
• Collaborate with therapists, counselors, peer support specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Provide education and support to patients throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment, addiction medicine, or behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of opioid addiction, alcohol dependency, and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility, as required for the position.
• Strong communication, assessment, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a treatment team.

Compensation & Schedule

• Starting pay: $40 per hour
• Initial schedule: 65 hours per biweekly pay period
• Potential to increase to 80 hours per pay period as client volume grows.
