BayWest Medical Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centred care in a collaborative family medicine and urgent care environment.

Position responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic health conditions within the NP’s scope of practice
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
• Prescribe medications and order appropriate diagnostic tests and investigations within the NP’s scope of practice
• Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education
• Provide ongoing management and follow-up for chronic diseases
• Perform clinical procedures as appropriate to training and scope of practice
• Assess and manage urgent and same-day medical concerns
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Provide appropriate referrals and follow-up when required
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Current registration and authorization to practise as a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario
• Previous experience in family medicine, primary care, or urgent care is an asset
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and the healthcare team
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is an asset
• Professional, reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused
