Nurse Practitioner

FT Nurse Practitioner provides general care to patients of all ages, but predominately elderly, with utmost care , patience, compassion and understanding. FT Nurse Practitioner performs duties within the scope of practice which may include testing, treatment, history and physicals, patient assessment and education, follow through and billing in Skilled Nursing Home setting. FT Nurse Practitioner works with and communicates with physician in a timely manner to insure all quality measures are met and patient updates shared. Position is full time. Active RI APRN license required

FT Nurse Practitioner-Responsibilities and Duties

This FT Nurse Practitioner is responsible for:

• Patient testing and labs as required
• Patient treatments, as required
• History and Physicals
• Patient assessment
• Patient plan of care
• Patient follow up and education
• Detailed documentation
• Quality measures -application and adherence
• Billing daily
• Collaboration/communication with physician

Qualifications and Skills

• MSN with specialization as ARNP
• Current RI State License as an Advanced Practice Nurse
• BLS upon hire and maintain current
• 2-5 years of Internal medicine,geriatrics, geri-psyche, or emergency medicine experience (inpatient/outpatient) preferred
• Previous experience with electronic health record
