About the role

We're looking for experienced Nurse Practitioners to join a clinical team that's genuinely reshaping what cannabis medicine looks like in New Zealand. With full-time and part-time tele-health roles available at the forefront of an emerging field, one where you'll bring clinical rigour and real compassion together, working with patients who often arrive after other options haven't worked.

You'll conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualised treatment plans, and prescribe and monitor cannabis-based medications with the same clinical discipline you'd bring to any specialist practice, grounded in evidence, guided by regulation, and shaped by genuine care for the person in front of you.

What you'll be doing

• Consulting with clients in a compassionate, professional way and, where appropriate, prescribe treatment that supports their wellbeing.
• Providing tailored medicinal cannabis treatments that improve the quality of life for our clients.
• Educating patients clearly and compassionately on therapeutic use, side effects, and what to expect.
• Working alongside the clinical team to keep care coordinated and holistic.
• Keeping your practice current: this field moves fast, and staying on top of emerging research and regulatory change is part of the job, not an afterthought
• Helping shape the clinic's protocols and standard of care as the field itself continues to develop
• Maintaining clinical records to a high standard, in line with healthcare legislation and best practice

What you bring

• Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
• A working knowledge of medicinal cannabis, or a genuine willingness to build it quickly
• The ability to work independently while genuinely collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
• Empathy and a non-judgmental approach. Patients in this space have often been dismissed elsewhere, and how you make them feel matters as much as what you prescribe
