Nurse Practitioner/ IV Vitamin Experience

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physical examinations to determine suitability for IV vitamin therapy and other treatments.
• Administer IV infusions of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients using sterile techniques while monitoring patient responses closely.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and health goals.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately, documenting all procedures, patient interactions, and clinical notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on the benefits of IV vitamin therapy, nutritional supplements, and overall wellness strategies to promote informed decision-making.
• Assist in clinical research initiatives related to vitamin therapies, integrative medicine, or innovative treatment modalities.
• Maintain sterile processing standards during procedures such as venipuncture, catheter care, and specimen collection to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license with valid certification to prescribe medications under collaborative practice agreements.
• Proven experience in IV infusion therapy, including venipuncture and catheter care.
• Strong background in medical office procedures, EMR/EHR management (such as Epic or Athenahealth), and medical documentation accuracy.
• Experience working in diverse clinical settings such as urgent care, outpatient clinics, or hospital environments—preferably with critical care or acute care experience.
• Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10), drug enforcement regulations (DEA), and billing practices related to outpatient services.
• Familiarity with advanced nursing skills including suturing, sterile technique, pain management, and basic life support (BLS).
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients about treatment options effectively.
• Additional experience in telehealth services, behavioral health integration, or holistic wellness approaches is a plus.
