This position works closely with our physician and clinical team within the provider’s training, certification, and applicable Georgia nurse protocol agreement. We are looking for someone who helps patients understand their options, sets realistic expectations, and builds lasting relationships through attentive care.
Primary Responsibilities
Patient Consultations and Medical Care
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, medical histories, and physical examinations appropriate to the services provided.
- Review medications, allergies, previous treatments, medical conditions, and relevant risk factors.
- Evaluate treatment eligibility, identify contraindications, and determine when treatment should be deferred or a referral is needed.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the patient’s clinical needs, goals, and preferences.
- Order and review appropriate laboratory studies and other diagnostic testing within authorized scope.
- Explain treatment options, expected outcomes, limitations, alternatives, risks, and aftercare.
- Obtain and document informed consent before procedures and treatments.
- Evaluate treatment response, address concerns, and adjust care plans when clinically appropriate.
- Consult with the delegating physician and refer patients to other providers when needed.
Aesthetic Injectables
- Perform cosmetic neuromodulator treatments, including Botox and other products offered by the practice.
- Administer dermal fillers within demonstrated training and competency.
- Assess facial anatomy, symmetry, skin condition, and patient goals to develop appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Explain expected results and recovery timelines without promising outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of treatment areas, dosing, injection sites, product details, and lot numbers.
- Provide clear post-treatment instructions and conduct follow-up assessments.
- Recognize and respond promptly to adverse reactions and complications according to established protocols.
- Follow infection prevention, medication handling, and procedure safety standards.
Medical Weight Management
- Evaluate patients for medically appropriate weight-management treatment.
- Review weight history, previous attempts, relevant medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle factors.
- Prescribe and manage weight-loss medications when clinically indicated and authorized.
- Educate patients on medication administration, expected effects, potential side effects, nutrition, activity, and follow-up requirements.
- Monitor progress, tolerability, adherence, and relevant clinical measurements.
- Adjust treatment based on patient response and clinical findings.
- Identify patients who need additional medical evaluation, nutritional support, or specialist referral.
Wellness Services
- Evaluate patients for the practice’s wellness services and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Order and manage vitamin injections, IV hydration, and nutrient therapies when clinically appropriate and within authorized scope.
- Provide hormone-related evaluation and treatment if included in the practice’s services and the provider’s qualifications.
- Evaluate requests for peptide-based therapies individually, considering the specific product’s legal status, supporting evidence, risks, and clinical appropriateness.
- Provide individualized orders and guidance to nursing staff administering prescribed treatments.
- Monitor outcomes and coordinate follow-up care.
Documentation and Clinical Operations
- Complete accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Document assessments, diagnoses, treatment rationale, prescriptions, consent, procedures, and follow-up plans.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow applicable privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, front desk staff, and the physician to support organized patient care.
- Participate in clinical protocol review, quality improvement, and team training.
- Help maintain appropriate medication storage, supplies, emergency readiness, and treatment-room standards.
- Maintain required licenses, certifications, continuing education, and practice credentials.
