Nurse Practitioner/ Physicians Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care across various specialties, including Primary Care and Urgent Care The ideal candidate should have 5 years ER or Urgent Care experience. Will also see scheduled Primary Care patients who are part of the facilities Health Membership. This position is integral to improving health outcomes through accurate assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments across various age groups including pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal, and adult populations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• prescribe medications in accordance with PA state Regulations
• Utilize EMR/EHR system for accurate documentation of medical records and coding (CPT, ICD-10)
• Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed during all procedures; maintain aseptic techniques during sterile processing.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards to protect patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure with current certification.
• Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as emergency medicine (ER/urgent care), internal medicine, geriatrics , pediatrics , or post-acute settings.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), CPT coding & ICD coding (ICD-9/10).
• Experience performing advanced procedures such as suturing, etc
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments requiring critical thinking and rapid decision-making. Ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated commitment to infection control practices and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
