Nurse Practitioner (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments via telehealth platforms, including vital signs, medical history review, and physical examinations when applicable.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state and federal regulations, utilizing your knowledge of drug enforcement agency (DEA) regulations.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and internal medicine.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families to promote wellness and disease prevention.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and patient safety.

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure with active state certification; eligibility for multi-state practice is preferred.
• Proven experience working remotely in a healthcare setting with telehealth experience strongly preferred.
• Extensive clinical background including critical care experience, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or ICU experience.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of diverse medical procedures including IV infusion, suturing, catheterization, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology knowledge, diagnostic evaluation skills, and patient assessment techniques.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team; excellent client communication skills are essential.
• Additional qualifications such as experience with botulinum toxin treatment, esthetic laser treatment, spinal tap procedures, sonography, or advanced pain management are considered a plus.

Pay: $100,447.31 - $120,968.80 per year
