About Skylark Sleep
Skylark Sleep is a nationwide virtual sleep medicine practice delivering high-quality, guideline-based care for obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, and related sleep disorders across all 50 states. We combine board-certified sleep physicians, home sleep testing, oral appliance and PAP therapy management, and remote patient monitoring to make expert sleep care convenient and accessible. Our clinical model is built around a seamless, high-touch patient experience, supported by modern telehealth tools and a collaborative care team.
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner delivers virtual, patient-centered sleep medicine care to patients across multiple states. Working within collaborative practice agreements and Skylark's clinical protocols, the NP conducts telehealth evaluations, orders and coordinates home sleep testing, initiates and manages therapy, and provides ongoing follow-up care that keeps patients engaged and adherent. This is a flexible, fully remote role well suited to a licensed, multi-state NP who thrives in telehealth and is genuinely committed to an exceptional patient experience. Sleep medicine experience is welcomed but not required; a strong clinical foundation, telehealth fluency, and a patient-first mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Virtual Clinical Care

- Order and coordinate home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), and develop appropriate treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines and Skylark protocols.
- Initiate and manage therapy, including PAP and oral appliance therapy, and support behavioral approaches to sleep (e.g., CBT-I) where appropriate.
Ongoing Patient Management
- Provide longitudinal follow-up care, monitoring therapy adherence and outcomes and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Support patients enrolled in remote patient monitoring, reviewing data and intervening proactively to optimize results.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, ensuring they feel heard, informed, and supported throughout their care.
Collaboration & Care Coordination
- Practice within collaborative practice agreements and applicable state scope-of-practice requirements, coordinating with supervising and backup physicians as needed.
- Partner with the clinical operations and patient success teams to ensure smooth intake, scheduling, testing, and follow-through.
- Coordinate with DME suppliers, dental partners, and other members of the care team to deliver integrated care.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Adhere to HIPAA, telehealth regulations, and all applicable federal and state clinical and licensing requirements.
- Support accurate coding and documentation that reflects the care provided.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure in at least 20 U.S. states (multi-state licensure required; ability and willingness to obtain additional state licenses a plus).
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with current national certification.
- Active DEA registration.
- Demonstrated experience practicing in a telehealth environment, with strong comfort using virtual care platforms and EHR systems.
- Exceptional patient communication skills and a genuine, demonstrated commitment to the patient experience.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sleep medicine (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with obstructive sleep apnea management, PAP and oral appliance therapy, and remote patient monitoring.
