Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties

• Conduct detailed physical examinations, vital signs assessments, and comprehensive patient evaluations to determine health status.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
• Manage acute pain, perform suturing, administer injections, and assist with procedures such as spinal taps and catheterizations.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation, order entry, and patient record management.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties including gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine to develop coordinated care plans.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory tests, sonography, medical imaging, and specimen collection/processing techniques.
• Provide telehealth services to expand access to care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in patient education on topics like medication administration, nutrition, wound care, and disease management to promote health coaching and self-care.

Experience

• Proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, urgent care, or primary care clinics.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for medical records management.
• Experience performing procedures like suturing, IV insertion/infusion, catheterization, and sterile processing techniques.
• Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and drug enforcement regulations for prescribing controlled substances
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
• Strong communication skills for client interactions across age groups—including pediatrics and adult patients—and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $119,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
