What they need
Part-Time Nurse Practitioner / Physician Associate – Hormone Optimization
Quali-T Hormone Optimization | Salem, Oregon
About Quali-T Hormone Optimization
Quali-T Hormone Optimization is an owner-led hormone optimization practice serving men and women in the Willamette Valley. We specialize in individualized hormone replacement therapy (HRT), focusing on helping patients improve their symptoms, quality of life, and overall well-being.
We believe in treating the patient, not just the lab results. Our approach emphasizes listening to patients, understanding their symptoms, and developing individualized treatment plans rather than relying exclusively on standard laboratory reference ranges.
We are looking for a motivated, independent, and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA) to join our Salem office on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider interested in hormone optimization, including those who have limited prior experience in HRT but are eager to learn.
Position Details
- Location: Salem, Oregon
- Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Lunch: One-hour unpaid lunch break per shift
- Employment type: Part-time
- Benefits: No employer-provided health insurance
- Training: Extensive on-the-job training provided
In addition to scheduled clinic hours, the provider will help monitor and respond to patient text messages on other designated workdays. This responsibility will include paid on-call time, with specific coverage expectations and compensation discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat male and female patients receiving hormone replacement therapy.
- Assess patient symptoms, medical history, laboratory findings, and treatment response when developing individualized care plans.
- Manage ongoing hormone therapy, including appropriate monitoring, medication adjustments, and follow-up care.
- Apply clinical judgment to treatment decisions rather than relying solely on whether laboratory values fall within standard reference ranges.
- Provide patient education regarding hormone optimization, treatment expectations, potential risks, and monitoring requirements.
- Respond to patient messages and clinical questions during designated coverage periods.
- Perform low-intensity shockwave therapy for appropriate patients. Comprehensive training will be provided.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established clinical protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the clinic owner and support staff while working independently during scheduled clinic hours.
- Practice within applicable state laws, professional scope of practice, and evidence-based clinical and safety standards.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a provider who is clinically capable, comfortable working independently, and interested in a more individualized approach to patient care.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold an active Oregon Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate license, or be eligible to obtain the required Oregon licensure before beginning practice.
- Be comfortable evaluating and treating both men and women for hormone-related symptoms and conditions.
- Be willing to consider treatment options when clinically appropriate even if a patient's hormone levels fall outside conventional laboratory reference ranges, using individualized risk-benefit assessment and appropriate monitoring.
- Be comfortable making independent clinical decisions within their training, licensure, and scope of practice.
- Be willing to learn and follow the clinic's treatment philosophy and clinical protocols.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Be dependable, organized, and responsive to patient needs during designated coverage periods.
- Be comfortable with a cash-pay medical practice that does not bill health insurance.
- Be interested in learning new clinical skills, including shockwave therapy.
New graduates and providers with limited hormone replacement therapy experience are encouraged to apply. Prior HRT experience is not required. We are willing to invest in the right person through extensive hands-on training, mentorship, and ongoing clinical support.
We are looking for someone with sound clinical judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to work autonomously—not someone who is expected to know everything on day one.
What We Offer
- Extensive training in male and female hormone replacement therapy.
- Hands-on education in hormone management, patient assessment, treatment monitoring, and shockwave therapy.
- The opportunity to develop specialized clinical expertise in a growing field.
- A smaller, owner-led practice with direct communication and a personalized approach to patient care.
- A collaborative working relationship with the clinic owner.
- A part-time schedule with consistent Monday and Wednesday clinic days.
- Paid on-call time for designated patient communication coverage outside scheduled clinic shifts.
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and the overall responsibilities of the position. Compensation for designated on-call coverage will be discussed separately during the interview process.
This position does not include employer-provided health insurance or other insurance benefits.
How to Apply
If you are a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate who enjoys patient-centered medicine, values clinical autonomy, and wants to develop expertise in hormone optimization, we would love to hear from you.
Please submit your resume and a brief introduction explaining your interest in hormone replacement therapy and why this opportunity appeals to you.
We are more interested in finding the right provider—someone who is thoughtful, motivated, and committed to individualized patient care—than finding someone who already knows everything about HRT.
