Waihi Health Centre is seeking an experienced Nurse Prescriber to join our dedicated and friendly team, including our PERMANENT GP. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for a patient-centered, shared care model, to assist with our Long term conditions (LTC) clinic.

This could be a shared role or a full time permanent position.

We are a community-focused clinic committed to providing high-quality healthcare to Care Plus patients, high-needs patients, and those requiring palliative care. Our services include in-clinic consultations and home visits when needed, ensuring continuity of care and support for our patients.

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified Nurse Prescriber with current registration and prescribing authority.
• Strong clinical skills and experience in managing long-term conditions.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to provide home visits when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for patients with chronic and complex health needs.
• Prescribe medications within your scope of practice.
• Support palliative care patients and their families with empathy and professionalism.
• Contribute to health education and promotion within the community.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold best practice standards.
