Nurse Scheduler

Position Summary:
The Nurse Scheduler plays a key role in ensuring smooth staffing operations and supporting administrative functions. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining efficient nurse scheduling practice and ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Scheduling Duties:

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly nursing staff schedules.
• Coordinate shift coverage for planned and unplanned absences.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly to staff and supervisors.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to forecast staffing needs and manage overtime.
• Maintain up-to-date records of staff availability, licensure, and credentials.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of scheduling experience in a healthcare or nursing environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and scheduling software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience in utilizing UKG Ready

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
