Nursery Apprentice – Cranbrook Nurseries

Pay: £8.55 per hour (approx. £14,227 per year)
Hours: 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rota
Contract: Permanent, with a full apprenticeship programme
Qualification: Fully funded Early Years apprenticeship (Level 2 or Level 3)

Are you passionate about working with children and looking for a career where every day is different? Cranbrook Nurseries, part of Childcare & Learning Group, is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Apprentice to join our friendly team. You’ll learn on the job alongside experienced practitioners while working towards a nationally recognised early years qualification, fully funded by us.

No previous experience is needed. What matters most is your warmth, reliability and genuine interest in helping young children learn, play and thrive.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the room team to deliver fun, engaging activities in line with the EYFS
• Helping with children’s everyday care, including mealtimes, nappy changing, toileting and sleep routines
• Building warm, positive relationships with children and their families
• Observing children’s play and contributing to their learning and development records
• Helping keep the nursery safe, clean, welcoming and well organised
• Following our safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene policies at all times
• Attending training sessions and completing your apprenticeship coursework on time

What we’re looking for

• A genuine passion for working with babies and young children
• A caring, patient and positive attitude
• Reliability, good timekeeping and a willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Commitment to completing an apprenticeship qualification
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) are desirable, but support is available if you don’t have them
