What they need
Are you passionate about working with young children and looking for a rewarding career in childcare? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Apprentice to join our friendly team. You’ll earn while you learn, working alongside experienced practitioners while completing a recognised Early Years qualification. It’s the perfect first step into a career in early years, with real opportunities to progress.
About the apprenticeship
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification over around 9 months, delivered by our training provider. Your training is fully funded, and you’ll have protected time for study alongside your work in the nursery. If you need them, you’ll also get support to achieve your English and maths qualifications.
What you’ll do
- Help plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities that support children’s learning, development and wellbeing
- Support children through their daily routines, including mealtimes, nappy changing and toileting, play, learning and nap times
- Help create a safe, clean, stimulating and welcoming environment, following health and safety and hygiene procedures
- Observe children and record their progress and development milestones, with guidance from your room leader
- Build warm, positive relationships with children and families, and share updates with parents
- Work as part of a supportive room team, taking part in team meetings, training and supervision
- Learn and follow our safeguarding, welfare and EYFS practices
What we’re looking for
- A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them thrive
- Good communication skills and a warm, caring nature
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- Reliability, good timekeeping and a commitment to your studies
- Some experience with children (babysitting, volunteering, school or college placements) is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided
What you’ll get
- A fully funded, nationally recognised Early Years qualification
- Hands-on training and mentoring from experienced practitioners
- A clear career pathway, from apprentice to qualified practitioner, room leader and beyond
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. This role is subject to safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check, references and right-to-work checks.
If you’re ready to start your career in early years, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today!
