Nursery Apprentice – East Sheen (SW14)

Want to start a career in early years and earn a recognised qualification while you’re paid? Join our East Sheen nursery as a Nursery Apprentice. You’ll work alongside experienced practitioners, learn on the job every day, and finish with a qualification that opens the door to a long-term career in childcare.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll support the room team with children’s daily care and routines, including mealtimes, nappy changing and sleep. You’ll join in with play, stories and creative activities that help children learn and develop under the EYFS, and you’ll help keep the rooms safe, clean and welcoming. As you grow in confidence, you’ll start contributing to observations and planning, and you’ll learn how we build warm, positive relationships with parents.

Your training
You’ll complete your Level 3 Early Years apprenticeship through our training provider, with protected off-the-job learning time and a mentor in the nursery to guide you. If you don’t yet have English and maths at the level required, we’ll support you to achieve these as part of the programme.

What we’re looking for
You don’t need any experience. What matters is that you genuinely want to work with young children. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, caring and eager to learn, who communicates well with children and adults, and who is happy to get stuck in as part of a team. Any experience with children, whether babysitting, volunteering or in a nursery, is a bonus but not essential.

Pay: £8.55 per hour
