Nursery Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our childcare team. The successful candidate is mainly responsible to work across all our rooms throughout the day covering staff breaks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and supporting their early development. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in early childhood education within a nurturing environment. The role requires strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a caring attitude to help create a safe and engaging space for children to learn and grow.

Child Related Responsibilities

• To ensure that the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
• Promote equal opportunities throughout the setting.

Staff Related Responsibilities

• To work with and support other members of the staff team.
• To be consistent and professional at all times.
• To participate in our in-house training and take advantage of training courses made available.

Organisation Related Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of current educational thought and good practice.
• Act at all times as an ambassador for The Children's House.
• Attend, as appropriate, training and personal development opportunities.

Outside Responsibilities

• Act at all times as an ambassador for The Children's House.

Hours - 25 hours per week, 9.30 to 2.30pm

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
