Nursery Assistant Level 3

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver stimulating activities tailored to the developmental needs of children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth
• Supervise children during daily routines such as playtime, mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents in accordance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized learning plans that support each child's unique needs
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on children's development and address any concerns
• Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that promotes positive behavior and learning
• Support team members through mentorship and management duties, encouraging professional growth and teamwork

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent recognized early childhood education certification
• Demonstrate extensive experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting
• Possess strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and foster a collaborative team atmosphere
• Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
• Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
