Nursery Attendant

We are looking to hire an additional Nursery Attendant to care for our youngest churchgoers on Sunday mornings, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Please see the job description and qualifications below.

Responsibilities:

-Collaborates with other Nursery Attendant and Volunteer Nursery helpers.

-Greets parents, making an effort to learn and remember names, directing parents to sign their child in and out, asking about and recording any special needs.

-Supervises play with babies and toddlers, one-on-one or in groups, by setting out age-appropriate toys and inviting children to play. When weather permits, supervise outdoor play on playground, making sure children are safe on the equipment.

-Cleans and organizes toys and equipment, making sure the environment is friendly and safe for infants and toddlers to play.

-Changes and disposes of diapers, using appropriate precautions and guidelines for cleanliness.

-Follows closely all guidelines for children outlined in our Safe Church policy.

-Reports any issues to the Minister.

-Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

-Takes weekly attendance and turns in attendance sheet each Sunday.

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Must undergo background check with LiveScan fingerprinting.
• At least two years working with infants and young children.
• Mandated Reporter Training (we provide online module).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must attend and participate in Safe Church Policy Training (we provide an in-person session).

Pay: $19.00 per hour
