Deputy Nursery Manager – Beckton

Salary: £35,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: 8-hour shifts

Tamba Day Nursery in Beckton is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for early years education, strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety policies are followed at all times.
• Monitor staff performance, room standards and staff-to-child ratios.
• Train, support and mentor staff, including new team members.
• Implement the EYFS framework and support children's learning and development.
• Work closely with parents, carers and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate records, risk assessments and children's observations.
• Ensure a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' childcare experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and the EYFS framework.
• A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work well within a team.
