Nursery Laborer

MAJOR OBJECTIVES OF THIS JOB

· Responsible for working as a team with other crew members to complete all work in accordance with Goodmark’s quality.

· Follow through of daily and weekly assignments set by your foreman and manager, to include but not limited to; mowing grass, trimming shrubs, pruning trees, hoeing, spraying herbicide, tying and digging trees & loading trucks.

· Establish and maintain a good working relationship with your foreman, crewmembers and manager.

· Keep your foreman informed of progress and problems on the job site.

· Maintain a positive image for the nurseries in the field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS JOB

· Efficiently complete projects set by your manager and foreman during the nursery season.

· Ensure quality and precision of all work, including attending to the details.

· Assist in developing creative solutions to problems that may arise in the course of a workday.

· Follow all Nursery policies and procedures as outlined and communicated.

· Review the timesheet completed by the foreman daily for accuracy.

· Communicate effectively with your foreman, other crewmembers, your manager and other personnel within the nursery.

· Responsible for following all safety policies.

· Properly care for all equipment assigned to your crew.

· Report all equipment problems to your foreman so he may report it to the shop for repair.

· Must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

PREREQUISITES FOR THIS JOB

• Nursery experience preferred.
• The ability to communicate in English is preferred.
• Must be available to work full time.
• Position is seasonal

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
