Nursery Manager

Glen Jakes Nursery has a great opportunity for someone ready to take that next step.
We are a lovely home from home Nursery based in Offerton, Stockport who are looking to recruit an inspirational, bubbly, motivated and passionate Nursery Manager to cover maternity leave. The hours required would be 40 hours per week, however we are flexible and may be able to accomodate less.

The Nursery is a 77-place day nursery where you will be managing a team of 26 nursery staff.

The ideal Nursery Manager candidate will need to have excellent organisation and managerial skills together with a well driven, passionate attitude, together with an approach to provide a loving, nurturing and safe environment filled with warmth and promise where individual’s talents are encouraged to flourish and grow.

Key Responsibilities

· Managing, leading and role modelling the team to ensure a high standard in all areas in line with the Statutory Framework.

· Manage and lead team members within the nursery thereby implementing high standards of quality practices and provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can access continuous provision, play, learn and develop.

· To provide efficient day-to-day management of the nursery including quality improvement, marketing administration and finances.

· To give support to all practitioners throughout the nursery as and when required.

· To fully ensure that the Nursery is run according to policies and procedures including ensuring the health, safety, happiness and development of the children.

Previous Nursery Manager experience essential

DfE recognised childcare qualification at Level 3 or above, maths GCSE at grade c or above (or willing to complete this).

Pay: Up to £37,440.00 per year
