Nursery Practitioner (Pre-School)

At Kidzcare, we're looking for caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Assistant/Practitioners to join our fabulous team. We currently have an exciting opportunity available within our Pre-School Room (ages 3-5).

What you'll be doing

As a Nursery Practitioner, you'll play a key role in helping children reach their full potential by:

· Building warm, trusting relationships with children and families.

· Planning and delivering engaging learning and play experiences.

· Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

· Observing, recording, and tracking children's progress using digital learning journals.

· Creating exciting next-step experiences tailored to individual children's needs.

· Working as part of a supportive team committed to providing outstanding childcare.

· Promoting positive outcomes in line with Curriculum for Excellence and current childcare guidance.

What we're looking for:

We're keen to hear from applicants who:

· Hold an SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent).

· Or are currently working towards their qualification or keen to start.

· Have a child-centred approach and genuine passion for early years care.

· Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.

· Have good IT skills and are comfortable using iPads and computers.

· Understand the importance of professional standards and best practice within childcare.

Knowledge of Building the Ambition, SSSC Codes of Practice, and current Care Standards would be a benefit.

The successful applicant will be subject to a PVG check and must be willing to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and meet registration requirements.

Starting rate of pay is based on a non-qualified entry-level position. A higher rate may be offered depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
