Nursery Room Leader

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for nurturing young minds. This role requires experience working with children, as well as the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. The Room Leader will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring compliance with childcare regulations, and fostering positive relationships with parents and children alike.

Duties

• Manage the daily operations of the room, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children.
• Lead and support a team of childcare staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote early childhood development.
• Excellent knowledge and implementation of the EYFS
• Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as childcare policies and procedures.
• Organise activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and learning among children.
• Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt programmes accordingly.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere through collaboration and open communication.

Requirements

• Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare setting.
• Strong background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
• Experience working with children in a nursery environment is essential.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build rapport with children, parents, and staff members effectively.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
