Nursery Room Leader

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our small team at Adorable Nurseries. Adorable Nurseries is a private nursery in the historic market town of Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes. Due to a recent expansion we are looking to expand our amazing team.

Working hours between 7.15am until 5.45pm on a rota basis - Full time 42.5 hours per week (overtime available). We are also recruiting Level 3 practitioners.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education and a strong ability to manage and communicate effectively with both children and staff. This role requires a nurturing individual who can create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.

Duties

• Lead and manage the nursery room, ensuring a high standard of care and education for all children.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play.
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
• Supervise and support nursery staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery space in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and planning for individual needs.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Level 3 qualification in Childcare is essential.
• Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting (minimum 2 years).
• Desirable Criteria:
• Valid paediatric first aid certificate
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure - registered to the online update service
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
