Compensation: $12/hour

Position Summary:

The Nursery Worker provides a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers while parents and guardians attend services and groups. This role provides attentive supervision, age-appropriate care, and strict adherence to check-in and check-out procedures to protect every child in our care.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all check-in and check-out procedures, verifying that each child is released only to an authorized adult with matching identification or security tag.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and note any allergies, special needs, or parent instructions.
• Supervise children at all times and maintain required adult-to-child ratios.
• Provide basic care, including feeding, comforting, and assisting with naps.
• Lead simple, age-appropriate play and activities.
• Keep the nursery clean and sanitized, including toys, surfaces, and changing areas.
• Communicate with parents at pick-up about their child's time and promptly report any incidents or concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety, health, and child protection policies.

Qualifications

• At least [18] years of age.
• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Must pass a background check and complete child safety training.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Dependable, patient, and warm, with a genuine love for young children.

This is a part-time hourly position. All Pineville FUMC employees must pass pre-employment testing such as a drug screen and background check. They must also read and follow all Church Policies and Procedures.

Pay: Up to $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 6.0 per week
