Schedule

• Sundays: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Wednesdays: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Select Thursdays: As needed during Easter and Christmas choir rehearsals
• New Year’s Eve: Availability required for our New Year’s Eve service

Regular Weekly Hours: Approximately 8.5 hours, with additional hours for special services and events.

Job Overview

Trinity Church is seeking a loving, dependable, and enthusiastic Nursery Worker to join our Children’s Ministry team!

This position is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for children ages birth to 2 years old during church services and special events.

At Trinity Church, we believe you’re never too young to learn about Jesus! Our nursery is more than just childcare. It’s an opportunity to introduce little ones to God’s love through worship music, prayer, and meaningful interactions.

The ideal candidate has a genuine love for children, a heart for ministry, and a desire to help create a positive first experience with church for our youngest attendees.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for infants and toddlers (ages 0–2).
• Create a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where children feel loved and secure.
• Introduce children to God’s Word through age-appropriate worship songs, Bible stories, prayer, and interactive activities.
• Engage children through music, play, and activities that encourage early childhood development.
• Assist with feeding, diaper changes, and other basic childcare needs while following proper hygiene and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary nursery environment, including toys, equipment, and changing areas.
• Follow all Trinity Church childcare policies, safety guidelines, and check-in/check-out procedures.
• Communicate warmly and professionally with parents and ministry leadership.
• Work collaboratively with other nursery staff and volunteers to ensure a positive experience for every child.
• Arrive on time and be fully prepared to serve during scheduled services and special events.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a nursery, daycare, preschool, church, or similar childcare setting.
• A genuine love for babies and young children, with a patient, compassionate, and nurturing personality.
• Strong Christian faith and a willingness to support the mission, beliefs, and values of Trinity Church.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent work schedule.
• Ability to teach biblical truths through music, storytelling, and age-appropriate activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with parents and other team members.
• Ability to remain calm, attentive, and responsive to the needs of multiple children.
• Knowledge of basic infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, hygiene, and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions, work well with others, and take initiative when needed.
• Must successfully complete a background check and comply with all church child-protection policies.
