Job Summary:

The Nursing Aide at Kalix Primary Care Clinic provides essential support to nurses and physicians in delivering efficient, patient-centered outpatient services. This role is responsible for assisting patient preparation, facilitating smooth clinic flow, and supporting basic clinical and administrative functions while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for consultation by obtaining vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and basic medical history

• Assist in patient flow, including escorting patients to examination rooms and ensuring timely coordination of services

• Support nurses and physicians during consultations, procedures, and minor treatments

• Prepare, clean, and disinfect examination rooms before and after each patient

• Assist in specimen collection (e.g., urine samples) and basic diagnostic procedures as directed

• Ensure adequate availability and proper storage of medical supplies and equipment

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient data as endorsed by the clinical team

• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and clinic safety standards

• Provide basic patient assistance and respond to inquiries in a professional manner

• Assist with administrative tasks such as patient registration support, filing, and scheduling as needed

Qualifications:

• Senior High School graduate or any undergraduate course in nursing

• Preferably has completed and certified NS II training from TESDA

• Certification (e.g., Nursing Aide/Caregiver) is an advantage

• Basic knowledge of outpatient or primary care clinic operations

• CPR and First Aid certification is an advantage
