Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and document all care activities diligently
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, using proper safety protocols
• Monitor health status, observe changes in condition, and communicate updates promptly to family members or healthcare professionals

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments with a focus on senior or hospice care
• Strong patient care skills with knowledge of dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities
• Familiarity with nursing home procedures and medication administration protocols
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics
• Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassionate communication and active listening abilities
• Capable of preparing meals that meet specific dietary restrictions or nutritional guidelines
• Knowledge of cleaning routines necessary for maintaining a hygienic living space
