Duties

• Assist registered nurses and physicians with patient care activities, including vital signs measurement, manual handling, and patient transfers using appropriate methods.
• Support patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure seamless communication among care teams.
• Monitor patient conditions closely, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to the nursing staff.
• Follow strict infection control protocols to uphold care facility standards for hygiene and patient safety.
• Operate medical equipment safely and effectively, including monitors, and other essential devices used in acute care environments, i.e. CPAP machine, Generator, Oxygen Concentrator, Bed/safety alarms.
• Communicate clearly with patients to provide reassurance, education, and support throughout their stay or outpatient visit and report back to RN after medical appointments.

Requirements

• Valid certification as an ADSP for knowledge of rule 116 for medication training- will be taught in agencies medical program; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior experience working with individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with geriatric patients and those requiring post-acute or sub-acute care Preferred .
• Knowledge of medical terminology, patient safety practices, infection control procedures, and medical documentation standards.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
• Strong communication skills for caregiver interaction and teamwork within home and office environment.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
