Nursing Assistant

Who We Are:

Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers– also known as the Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America, Inc. - was founded in 1911 with the support of the Bishops of the United States to be the chief mission outreach of the Catholic Church in the United States. We currently serve in 20 countries worldwide - especially among the poor.

Responsibilities:

• Provide the delivery of hands on assistance of Activities of Daily Living under the direct supervision of the Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Collaborates with nursing staff and Society members to ensure efficient care delivery based on member, unit and facility needs.
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment for the members.
• Supports the Maryknoll vision and mission.
• Utilizes knowledge of member’s age and cultural diversity as it relates to the provision of care.
• Relays pertinent information to hospital personnel and information from the hospital to the Nurse Supervisor/Nurse regarding care and or staff when relieved.
• Ensure safety of Society members, assist with their needs, advocate and communicate status with above.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of current experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
• Must have a High diploma
• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA requirements.
• C.N.A. or HHA certification preferred

Shift: Days -7am-3pm, Evenings - 3pm-11pm, Nights - 11pm-7am

Hourly Rate: $22.00 per hour. Night shift receives a 10% shift differential.

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Long term care: 1 year (Preferred)
• Geriatrics: 1 year (Required)
