Nursing OT- Incharge

Clinical Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operation theatre before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure patient safety by following hospital protocols and surgical safety checklists.
• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals during surgeries.
• Monitor aseptic techniques and infection prevention measures.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily OT schedules with surgeons and relevant departments.
• Supervise and guide OT nurses, technicians, and support staff.
• Maintain duty rosters and manage staff allocation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and statutory regulations.

Equipment and Inventory Management

• Ensure OT equipment is functional and properly maintained.
• Monitor stock levels of surgical instruments, consumables, and medications.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration of OT equipment.

Quality and Safety

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Nursing / GNM (as per hospital policy)
• Valid Nursing Council Registration
• OT specialization or certification preferred
• 5-8 years of OT nursing experience, with supervisory experience preferred
