Nurtition Services Coordinator

Job Summary

We're seeking a dedicated Nutrition Services Coordinator to oversee the planning and delivery of nutrition programs for children and families in diverse community settings. In this role, you'll combine clinical knowledge with cultural sensitivity to support the health and well-being of high-risk populations in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Duties

• Develop and implement culturally appropriate nutrition plans aligned with individual and community needs
• Coordinate nutrition education sessions for children, families, and caregivers on healthy eating habits
• Collaborate with social workers, child welfare specialists, and family service providers to support children with disabilities or involved in child protective services
• Conduct nutritional assessments and maintain accurate client records in compliance with confidentiality policies
• Provide crisis intervention support related to food insecurity or behavioral health concerns affecting nutritional well-being
• Facilitate communication between families, healthcare providers, and community organizations to promote holistic care
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols including first aid and CPR requirements during all program activities

Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of child protective services, child welfare policies, and family law as they relate to nutrition support
• Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, and high-risk populations
• Familiarity with behavioral health issues and crisis intervention strategies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with cultural competency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and program planning
• Strong conflict resolution and crisis management abilities
• Bilingual proficiency highly desirable
