Keepers Medi Care Centre Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Nursing Assistant Manager to join our dedicated team in George Town, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality aged care nursing services. As Nursing Assistant Manager, you will work alongside the Nursing Manager to ensure operational excellence, staff coordination, and the highest standards of patient care within our aged care facility. Key responsibilities

• Assist the Nursing Manager in overseeing daily nursing operations and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff schedules, duty allocations, and performance management
• Support the delivery of direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of resident health conditions
• Ensure appropriate infection control measures, safety protocols, and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the facility
• Manage nursing supplies, equipment inventory, and maintenance requests to ensure adequate resources for patient care
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and resident progress
• Assist in training, mentoring, and professional development of nursing and care staff
• Support incident reporting, quality assurance initiatives, and continuous improvement programmes
• Respond to resident and family concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Contribute to maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring data confidentiality

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent nursing qualification recognised in Malaysia
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in aged care or long-term care settings
• Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a healthcare facility
• Strong knowledge of aged care practices, geriatric nursing, and common health conditions in elderly populations
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse nursing team
• Proficiency in medical record management and familiarity with healthcare information systems
• Sound understanding of Malaysian healthcare regulations, standards of practice, and workplace safety requirements
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Strong organisational and time management capabilities in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills are advantageous
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Compassion, patience, and genuine commitment to providing excellent patient care
